According to a new piece of research from the FPA, many Australians still don’t see the value of advice, with nearly half (41%) of participants expressing a belief that they could only trust themselves with their finances. We asked advisers in our community why this might be the case, and what needs to be done to clarify the “ROI” of getting professional financial advice.  

A group of industry and consumer associations have jointly condemned the Government’s proposed compensation scheme of last resort (CSLR), arguing it disproportionately targets financial advice and displaces responsibility for failures in other parts of financial services.
