So today is a momentous occasion. One of my babies, No More Practice Education, is all grown up. The acquisition by OneVue is an exciting step for NMPE – to be able to do more for our industry in giving advisers education and tools to help people. To connect our fund manager partners to advisers and consumers in a way we have not been able to before.
This week the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) updated its guidance on how existing advisers can raise their academic qualifications to meet a new minimum education standard. It’s provided a clearer picture of just what needs to be done by all advisers to reach the standard by January 1, 2024.
