HOW MUCH MONEY WOULD YOU BURN TO KNOW THE ANSWERS?

A wise friend once asked me if I would burn the $50 dollar note they had handed me.

Of course not, was my indignant response.

To which he replied: if I told you that you would get all the answers you wanted for your business would you burn it?

Absolutely!

The final question he asked that day has stuck with me throughout the development of my business… how much money are you willing to burn to learn?

It is a confronting and exciting thing to think about. As a business owner there is a constant need to evolve and innovate. As an entrepreneur it is also easy to get stuck in the day to day and forget to think big picture. Both can cost you.

According to a report released by IBM, companies who utilize e-Learning tools and strategies have the potential to boost productivity by up to 50 per cent. For every $1 that company spends, it’s estimated that they can receive $30 worth of productivity.

Further, business owners who have a mentor are 70 per cent more likely to succeed than those who don’t. But, we have found it is often hard to readily access the experts who can give you the answers you might need.

All of this learning and knowledge over my 20 years in business has culminated in us taking the insights from our collective of experts and working with the Associate Dean at The University of Sydney Business School to create the 30 Day Business Challenge.

The Challenge will teach you:

  • How to manage your capacity and plan your resources for greater return
  • How to clearly identify what a buyer will find valuable in your business
  • How to future proof your business against the changing consumer
  • How to clearly communicate your vision to your team and clients

There are dozens more lessons in the 30 Day Business Challenge and you will benefit greatly from watching three of your peers go through the learning process first hand in our nationally broadcast TV show, The Transformation Series – live on air from September 14.

If wish I had a dollar for every time one of the business owners we have mentored in our network told me that engaging with this kind of content changed the forecast of their business success.

So, if someone asks you how much money you are willing to burn to learn – $399 would be a good bet.
