Learn from the biggest investors in Australia

It is with great pleasure I welcome you to our latest series – After Hours 3. This time we are talking to some of the most powerful decision makers in the country – the chief investment officers of superannuation funds. Six of the most talented investment professionals that manage billions of dollars for Australians every day.

I am joined again by Jenny Josling, managing director at Orbis Investments and as always, she brings her thoughtful and intelligent outlook to the questions we ask our CIOs.  New to join in, in a co-host role, is Jason Ciccolallo, head of institutional business from Orbis Investments. It won’t take you long to see the value his 25-year career in institutional investments adds to the program. Without the support of Orbis Investments this program could not be made. I am extremely proud to have collaborated with them on this important program.

So what will you learn from watching After Hours 3? Basically, the things that really matter. Everything from the effects of climate change on our investment opportunities, the rise of sustainable property investment, the swing to private equity investing and the ability of mega funds to help listed companies buy back ownership and go private.

It’s an eye-opening insight into what large scale investors are excited about, and what keeps them up at night. We also take a look at what drives them, and how they started their careers.

With the continuous change in our industry, and the pressure from both challenging markets and legislative change, it is good to see a positive outlook from many of our most talented investors. We also hear fascinating insights into how they see the future of financial advice, and how superannuation funds are currently working with, and will work with financial advisers in the future.

If you are looking to be inspired, challenged, After Hours is for you. The fact that you can also earn CPD points is a bonus.

Every week for the next six weeks we will be revealing a new CIO for you to learn from.

So enjoy the trailer, and we look forward to showing you episode one next week.

Until next time,
